Sewing & the Mp3

When Rachel and I first started barbie pageants we would silently and dutifully sew for the Barbies ( or laugh and giggle which was more likely) it could be pretty boring.  For Christmas  last year I received a mp3, and speakers to go with it. It opened a new door for us, we could listen to our favorite songs and sew at the same time. If we were going to work on the Barbies for hours and hours ( unlikely I’m sure ) we wouldn’t have to change the cd  every hour. Yes,  Rachel and I could probably listen to music for 24 hours before we repeated a song. We both love to listen to music when we sew for barbies or do other crafts. It helps us concentrate on doing our best while having fun with each other. Rachel and I really like old movies and broadway tunes, and Christian music, and we also like classical music which is easy to sew to. Rachel and I can never agree on how loud the music I like it loud and she likes it softer, but we compromise with just medium music unless its a soft song. We always have to turn it up when we run the sewing machine because the machine is really loud and annoying sounding. We both really like to listen to the mp3 especially when we are sewing for Barbie!
